The economic base of this municipality is agricultural, with the harvesting and export of fruits and potatoes, characterised by their prolonged conservation, as well as grapes. Its vineyards produce exquisite wines, mainly red, recognised in different contests of having a charming flavour.

It boasts an excellent production of milk, meat, eggs and fertiliser, which is part of its economic wealth.
